Steve Jobs resigns........

Steve Jobs' resignation as Apple's CEO has shaken the tech world and is stirring rumors of severe health problems.
"I have always said that if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know," he wrote in the letter to the company's board of directors. "Unfortunately, that day has come."
Jobs did not elaborate on his reasons for stepping down. While the tech guru has remained tight-lipped on his health status since his pancreatic cancer diagnosis seven years ago, many worry the recent development is a sign his health has taken a turn for the worse.
E-mails to Apple requesting comment were not immediately returned.
Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in 2004. The disease is known to progress more slowly than the more common form of pancreatic cancer, but it can be no less devastating.

Despite his resignation, Jobs expressed optimism for the future of Apple.
"I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it," wrote Jobs. "And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

Apple's New Mac Line

Apple's Mac line offers products for a variety of uses, ranging from lightweight notebooks to powerful desktop towers, but according to Japanese site Macotakara, a brand new Mac product is on its way.
By way of a rough translation, the site reports:
"According to anonymous source in Asian supplier company, Apple seems to be preparing project to release new Mac line-up which is absolutely different from current products until end of this year."
"Though this source does not told in detail, this new Mac line seems to be clearly different products from current ones, so new product name could be given."
The resulting product may mean a number of things, although recent reports of a MacBook Air Pro come to mind. Given, a revised version of current laptops isn't exactly "clearly different," but the actual meaning may be lost in translation.

Brain chips by IBM

IBM has developed a microprocessor which it claims comes closer than ever to replicating the human brain.
The system is capable of "rewiring" its connections as it encounters new information, similar to the way biological synapses work.
Researchers believe that by replicating that feature, the technology could start to learn.
Cognitive computers may eventually be used for understanding human behaviour as well as environmental monitoring.
Dharmendra Modha, IBM's project leader, explained that they were trying to recreate aspects of the mind such as emotion, perception, sensation and cognition by "reverse engineering the brain."
The SyNAPSE system uses two prototype "neurosynaptic computing chips". Both have 256 computational cores, which the scientists described as the electronic equivalent of neurons.

Google's new Nexus will fight with iPhone 5

Google is said to be preparing the latest of its flagship Nexus range of smartphones, to take on the new iPhone expected this autumn.
The Nexus Prime will reportedly be the first Android smarphone to run “Ice Cream Sandwich”, the next iteration of the operating system.
It is reportedly being built by Samsung, with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor at its heart when it launches in October. The current model, the Nexus S, features a single core, 1GHz processor.
The display will also be upgraded to a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD screen, according to reports from South Korea. The Nexus S display is 4-inch and lower resoluton.
Ice Cream Sandwich will merge the main version of Android with Honeycomb, the version adapted for tablets, so some analysts have speculated that the Nexus Prime may do away with hardware buttons such as “home” and “back” found on smartphones.

Will it rain today??? Google maps will tell....

Whether you’re organizing a trip overseas or a picnic at a local park, knowing the weather forecast is a crucial part of the planning process. Google has added a weather layer on Google Maps that displays current temps and conditions around the globe, and will hopefully make travel and activity planning easier.

To add the weather layer, hover over the widget in the upper right corner of Google Maps and select the weather layer from the list of options. When zoomed out, you’ll see a map with current weather conditions from weather.com for various locations, with icons to denote sun, clouds, rain and so on. You can also see cloud coverage, thanks to our partners at the U.S. Naval Research Lab. And, if you look closely, you can also tell if it’s day or night around the world by sun and moon icons.

Enabling the weather layer also gives you an instant weather report for friends and family living around the world. For example, it looks like my family in London isn’t experiencing the best summer weather right now:

Weather near London, UK

Clicking on the weather icon for a particular city will open an info window with detailed data like current humidity and wind conditions, as well as a forecast for the next four days. Below is the upcoming forecast for my location in wintertime Sydney, which seems to have the similar weather as London!

Mozilla Firefox has long been one of the best browsers people all over the world trust and use. It has seen a number of changes and amendments made in it in the past. There are a few reasons one must consider when they think about upgrading their version of the browser.
The first and foremost reason that one should get their system upgraded to the 6th version is because it has more speed. It has better startup times than there was in the previous version of the browser. It won’t give you any trouble in logging in and you won’t have to wait for hours for the system to load.
The peacemaker attribute is used for the purpose of measuring the performance of the browser which uses assigns and Java from scoring. The higher the score of the browser, the better is the performance of the same. It has been revealed that Firefox 6 has a score of 4.572 which is much better when compared to what the previous versions of the browser were given y the peacemaker ran by Howley.
Another great feature of this advancement in the browser is that it has more arrangements for security of the user information and the safety of the PC as well as the person was kept in mind while this system was made.

App store will be one of the features of Windows 8

An app store is officially among the features Microsoft is working to include in Windows 8, much like Apple's App Store for OS X.
The revelation, which confirmed months of rumors, came today from Microsoft President Steven Sinofsky in a Building Windows 8 blog titled "Introducing the team." Among a list of teams associated with building the forthcoming operating system was "App Store."
Sinofsky said that work on the new OS is organized by feature teams, of which there are about 35, each containing 25 to 40 developers.
"Many of the teams listed below describe features or areas that you are familiar with or that you can probably figure out based on the name," he said. "As we post more, team members will identify themselves as part of these teams."
Microsoft representatives did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.
Rumors that Microsoft was developing an app store for Windows have been around for more than a year. Based on a series of Windows 8 documents leaked June 2010, Microsoft has reportedly been eager to match Apple at its own game by offering its own dedicated app store.
An app store appeared in a demonstration of Windows 8 that Sinofsky gave at the All Things Digital D9 conference in late June. Included in the start-up menu tiles was a direct link to a Microsoft Store, suggesting that Microsoft was working it own version of an online application store, similar to Apple's App Store.
The company has also been working hard to keep Apple from winning a U.S. trademark for the phrase App Store. Microsoft argues the phrase is too generic to register and would restrict competitors' ability to use of the term to describe their own services.
Microsoft has not officially announced when the new OS would be released, but CEO Steve Ballmer said in May that the new OS would reach consumers in 2012, although the company later said Ballmer misspoke. In June, Vice President Dan'l Lewin hinted that Windows 8 would launch during the fall of 2012.

Enjoy games on google+

I can just say that Google Inc. is leaving no stone unturned in making its social network project Google+ the next big social networking website. On Thursday it announced the availability of online games on Google+ , it can be easily seen that the competition is heating up with Facebook Inc.

Google is currently offering 16 games from 10 gaming companies, including Rovio Mobile Ltd.'s popular Angry Birds game and Zynga Inc.'s Zynga Poker. The offerings will expand over time, the company said.

I personally like the interface for the games...its always better to open application like games in a pop up window and google has kept this thing in mind.

I hope like Facebook ,google make its project a success and not just an another usual website

Below I have just put some random screenshots ,u can check them out.

Bing overcomes Google in search effectiveness

Most of you who will read this get a feel of shock, unlike me who became a bit sad for Google being beaten by Microsoft's Bing. There is no doubt that Google control the lion's share of the search market, but queries made through Microsoft's Bing search engine lead users to click on a Web page at a significantly higher rate than queries made through Google, according to data released Thursday.
The success rate for Bing searches in the U.S. in July was 80.04%, compared to 67.56% for Google, according to Experian Hitwise. The market watcher defines "success rate" as the percentage of search queries that result in a visit to a website. Searches made through sites owned by Yahoo, which farmed out search to Bing under a deal struck in 2009, were also more efficient than Google. Those searches yielded a success rate of 81.36%.
Experian officials said the results show that there's room for both Google and Microsoft to step up their games when it comes to search accuracy. "The share of unsuccessful searches highlights the opportunity for both the search engines and marketers to evaluate the search engine results pages to ensure that searchers are finding relevant information."
Search engine users could also probably help themselves a lot by formulating more precise queries. Experian's numbers show that the plurality of searches, 25.32%, are made with just a single word, followed by two-word and three-word queries, with shares of 24.09% and 19.49%, respectively.

Tutorial for modding your android

1. What modding your droid actually means ?

It simply means making custom modifications to hardware(ie overclocking) and software(ie switching to a custom rom which provides you the latest version of android which isn't officially available by your device manufacturer)

2. What is custom rom ?

Various manufacturers in the market like samsung , HTC , motorola , LG etc sell android powered devices . The OS(or ROM) they provide is not pure/vanilla android , they actually do some modifications over the actual android for making their devices distinct and more interactive in comparisons to their competitors. For example :
Samsung's UI is called TouchWiz
HTC's UI is called HTC SENSE(very impressive)

Now their are different communities which provide their own flavors(or ROM) of android "for free" with unique UI and performance tweaks which overalls improves your performance drastically . Among all the communities Cyanogenmod is the most popular one. Go to their website , select your device model and download the latest stable version

3. How to root your device ?

As we all know that android is based on linux kernel so it's quite obvious that installing a custom rom via rom manager would require root access which implies that first you have to root your device . The rooting procedure vary with the devices so you have to google this out on your own and trust me it's a kid's stuff you hardly have to tap once in the whole procedure and rest of the things are handled automatically.

4. How to install rom manager , backup your current rom and flash your device ?

I don't have much to say since this video explains it beautifully . Still if you have any query you can ask

JUST FOLLOW THE VIDEO AND WOOLAAA....... YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED LATEST VERSION OF ANDROID WHICH IS NOT EVEN OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE FOR YOUR DEVICE BY THE MANUFACTURER
