MOODSTREAM| GETTY IMAGES

What about streaming through a bunch of music tracks, images and videos which are in sync with your mood...the website Moodstream as the name suggest is a website which brings to you a smart collection of images and audio visuals which can take you into the mood you want to through a very simple interface.
The interface is designed such that a newcomer wont feel alien while using it.
At Moodstream there are some predefined presets like Inspire, Excite, Refresh, Intensify, Stabilize, and Simplify. Each preset is a mixture of the mood spectrums on the Moodstream mixer—happy/sad, calm/lively, warm/cool, and so on.You can also fine tune these mood spectrums using sliders or else start right away with the preset wheel. You can also mix up things like whether you want more number of black and white assets or audio with vocals.Even you can include the type of image transition.
What makes this website distinct from other mood-based music streaming services like Stereomood or Sourcetone is the inclusion of visual elements.
Although the tracks are not played entirely..this one place I felt the website falls short but the overall streaming was really appreciable..so try it and get into the mood..

Ramnit worm stole 45000 Facebook login credentials

Most of us have encountered the nasty malware Ramnit.Recently the malware has been found accused of stealing away login credentials of about 45000 Facebook users. Most of the affected users are from France and UK.According to the security researchers the malware is ,as expected, capable of affecting the DLLs and HTML files of Windows.

The Securlet bulletin says, "We suspect that the attackers behind Ramnit are using the stolen credentials to log-in to victims' Facebook accounts and to transmit malicious links to their friends, thereby magnifying the malware's spread even further".Securlet said in its bulletin. "In addition, cybercriminals are taking advantage of the fact that users tend to use the same password in various web-based services (Facebook, Gmail, Corporate SSL VPN, Outlook Web Access, etc.) to gain remote access to corporate networks."

Moreover the security firm is also claiming that the malware has stolen Banking details of account holders previously.

Facebook has stated that they are looking into the matter. "Our security experts have reviewed the data, and while the majority of the information was out-of-date, we have initiated remedial steps for all affected users to ensure the security of their accounts", reported BBC.

Fullscreen iPad apps on Apple TV

What is the one thing that really pushes anyone to make his pocket lighter for an iPad ,iPhone or any other iOS device is the gigantic wealth of apps which suit hell lot of needs of any guy out there....agree??

If yes then i have good news for you.. in this month while you were busy in decorating the Christmas tree and having drinks at new years ,hackers were busy in figuring out how to run iOS apps natively on  Apple TV in full screen mode

For those among you who owns a Logitech Revue set up boxes running android have already been gifted by access to Android market on your console.

But what about those folks who are really jealous and badly wanted access to Apple app store on their Apple TV set up boxes.

If you are one of those folks that wants App Store access, a new hack surfaced over the weekend on a video put up by a developer known as "TheMudkip." Dubbed MobileX, the hack is for the Apple TV and allows access the set-top devices to run full-screen iPad apps. The developer calls MobileX a window manager for iOS that replaces springboard and lets the iPhone and iPad apps run on the TV.

EXCITED??? Don't be much as there is a bad news also.. the hack is in its primary stages and the worst part

the Apple TV needs to be jailbroken through SeasonPass. What annoys is that you would likely lose any warranty on the set up box.

Below you can check out a video which display the hack in action...Apple TV running safari, youtube,maps..and much more

but i bet you would be more interested in iPad version Facebook and our favorite Angry Birds

Offline Gmail app : Checking mails without net

Google's new software for using Gmail without an Internet connection comes across as a throwback to an era when we weren't connected all the time and on all sorts of devices, from smartphones to iPads.
These days, if I need to read or write an email when I'm not at a regular computer, I can usually do so on my phone. Wi-Fi is also plentiful -even on planes and trains- when I need to catch up on messaging using my laptop.
But I found myself lacking both options during a recent trip . Fortunately, Google recently came out with Offline Google Mail, software that lets me use Gmail while disconnected. Messages that I write, delete or move to a folder - or label, as Gmail calls it - get synced with my Gmail account the next time I'm online. I can also read messages that had been sent to me before going offline.
Indeed ran into a few problems :
1. The key problem is that messages stored offline sometimes disappears. That included an email I had composed to send later. As a result, I wasn't able to depend on the software to retrieve notes that I had stored as email messages, nor was I able to respond to a number of emails that went missing.
2. It typically keeps only messages from the past three days and sometimes up to a week. Drafts and messages marked with a star are always stored, but you have to remember to do that in the short time you might have online.

MAIN PUNCH HERE IN COMPARISON TO IT'S COMPETITORS :->
Standalone email software such as Thunderbird also lets you read and write messages while offline, but you need to open the software to sync. You also need to know how to set it up for Gmail, while there's no need to configure anything for Offline Google Mail.
So , happy mailing................

Siri workaround for iPhone handsets:developed by hacker 'chpwn'

Apple's iPhone users who were restless for using the company's much publicized virtual personal assistant Siri can hope to do so....hacker 'chpwn' have developed ways for them.He has designed a download (posted its details on his blog ) which installs Siri from Apple itself. The tool ,Spire, will download Siri while it installs.
For those having jailbroken handsets ,this one is a solution...but its not enough. After that's done u are not quite ready to talk to the virtual assistant
Apple still requires authorization to use Siri, so information from an iPhone 4S is still required. To insert this information, Spire allows you to enter your own proxy server address. “Spire uses a new method to obtain the files necessary for Siri, so it doesn’t have the copyright issues encountered by previous attempts,” the blog post explains. “Similarly, rather than directing all traffic through a specific proxy server (and the associated privacy issues), Spire allows you to specify your own proxy server.”

According to "chpwn," users must access an iPhone 4S' data and proxy to make Siri think it's running on an iPhone 4S.
Just how will you gain access to that information? "Chpwn" won't provide it, but on his site, he suggested a host of options, including buying an iPhone 4S and asking a friend for access to his or her authentication tokens.
iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 owners have been hoping to find a simple way to add Siri to their devices for months now. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple method available, as evidenced by the hoops folks must jump through just to get Spire working properly.

Bye the way Google is reportedly developing its own version a natural language processing enhancement to its Voice Actions application that is code-named "Majel.
We already using the search using voice ...lets see if Majel would prove itself more efficient than Siri.
For those who are in a hurry and couldn't go through all the stuff i have mentioned above ,here is a video.Just see it and get the major points

Firefox games platform

A few months back, Google was planning to turn his browser chrome into a gaming platform....they are still planning on this in order to grab the massive chunk of cloud app market share...

Now in this segment, Mozilla has also stepped in and thinking if gaming platform is apt for its browser Firefox.
As we know,Mozilla has launched his app development project which gives guidelines regarding app development and how developers can run them in Firefox.

Its an open project and other browsers can easily adopt it(if they take it seriously).
You may be aware of the Full Screen API, the Mouse Lock API, the Gamepad API, Websockets and WebRT than can be leveraged for online gameplay within the Firefox window. Moreover the browser id can be used to identify players. Its the first time that Mozilla has thought about making a browser,Firefox in this case, into a gaming platform.

However it still lacks gamepad API(although Chrome has such API) and also it is not as popular among gamers as Chrome. It lacks that buzz which currently chrome owns.
We should notice that Mozilla has such gaming ideas and also Firefox has gained HTML5 capabilities...
if they execute their plannings sooner their strategy can become successful ...

Top 5 Gadgets of 2011

1.  Apple iphone 4S

This iteration retained the original design of the iPhone but boosted up by dual core specs and introduced a revolutionary voice recognition based artificial intelligence called Siri. Siri pretty much does everything a virtual personal assistant could be expected to do. The iPhone 4S was announced on October 4, a day before the passing of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

2. Apple ipad 2

It provided a sucker punch to the competition from Android as it released before any tangible Android tablet hit the market. It also became leaner and meaner with a slimmer design and dual-core internals. "And ya the iPad 2 was the last Apple product to be unveiled by Steve Jobs."

3. Samsung Galaxy Nexus : A phone with a soul

Armed with Google's latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich and its uber cool 4.65-in reinforced Super AMOLED HD display, the Galaxy Nexus is top dog in the ANDROID ARMY.

4. Amazon Kindle Fire

It came armed with a super affordable $200 price tag, a forked version of Google's Android (customized by Amazon), dual core architecture and, most importantly, integrated Amazon's considerable cloud based services. But bUt buT , not a ipad killer definitely.

5 . Aakash Tablet

What's so special about it? It's made in India,  it's cheap and bundled with Froyo (Android 2.2). At $50, it was pricier than it's original $35 tag, but still the cheapest tablet around. For students (i.e. the targeted market) the price tag will be even cheaper. Moreover , in first quater of 2012  it's Gingerbread version  with higher specs and nearly same price will be launched .

Most amazing iphone ever : Apple iphone 4s BUT....

Our only question is where’s the legendary water-drop model shape ? The four-inch screen ? The seamless frame ? Wait for the next generation of iPhone. The best product is always the next one. Yes, the iPhone 4S is pretty badass in itself, but everyone was expecting too much, so it’s hard to avoid being disappointed. The announcement of the iPhone 4S means we have to wait until next year for the iPhone 5!

Anyways here's the 4s description ->

* Coming with iOS5 (as expected)
* Retains the same design from iPhone 4 with an addition of Apple A5 chip (Double the Power)
* 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video capture
* It comes in black and white variants and will be available in the US from October 14 with pre-orders starting from October 7

Most importantly Apple has introduced "Siri" , a software that works on voice commands but the plus here is that it has a sought of intelligence which will make your life easier unlike other voice controlled softwares which always end up giving pain in head , throat and a..

Intel powered Windows 8 tablet

A Samsung tablet expected to be shown at a Microsoft conference next week will be powered by an Intel chip, according to a source familiar with the device.

Windows chief Steven Sinofsky is expected shows off an early version of Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system running on a tablet from Samsung at the BUILD developers conference next week in Anaheim, Calif.

At least one version of the tablet being shown--and possibly distributed to some attendees--will be based on Intel silicon, said an industry source who is familiar with the device.

The fact that Intel is inside could be viewed as a surprise because many Windows 8 tablets are expected to favor competing ARM processors from suppliers like Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Nvidia--the latter is the same supplier whose chips currently power Motorola, Samsung, and Sony tablets that run Google's Android operating system.

It is not clear if other Windows 8 tablets will be shown at the conference running on ARM processors. Nvidia, for example, is expected to have a quad-core chip for tablets and smartphones ready by the end of this year.

Hum something to search something

Yesterday i saw promo of VH1 LEGENDS 2011 , it's background music included a tune of some legendary song and i was like for 2 hours kept humming it. At night started to google out the song but you have to write something to search something and i only had a tune.

So found an awesome... website MIDOMI.COM which asked me to hum the tune/song and it will try to find out the name of that song , after 2-3 tries it gifted me the name GREEN-DAY:BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS and yes it was exactly the same song i was looking for.

So give it a try if you wanna find a song and don't have any detail about it.

Steve Jobs resigns........

Steve Jobs' resignation as Apple's CEO has shaken the tech world and is stirring rumors of severe health problems.
"I have always said that if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know," he wrote in the letter to the company's board of directors. "Unfortunately, that day has come."
Jobs did not elaborate on his reasons for stepping down. While the tech guru has remained tight-lipped on his health status since his pancreatic cancer diagnosis seven years ago, many worry the recent development is a sign his health has taken a turn for the worse.
E-mails to Apple requesting comment were not immediately returned.
Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in 2004. The disease is known to progress more slowly than the more common form of pancreatic cancer, but it can be no less devastating.

Despite his resignation, Jobs expressed optimism for the future of Apple.
"I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it," wrote Jobs. "And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

Apple's New Mac Line

Apple's Mac line offers products for a variety of uses, ranging from lightweight notebooks to powerful desktop towers, but according to Japanese site Macotakara, a brand new Mac product is on its way.
By way of a rough translation, the site reports:
"According to anonymous source in Asian supplier company, Apple seems to be preparing project to release new Mac line-up which is absolutely different from current products until end of this year."
"Though this source does not told in detail, this new Mac line seems to be clearly different products from current ones, so new product name could be given."
The resulting product may mean a number of things, although recent reports of a MacBook Air Pro come to mind. Given, a revised version of current laptops isn't exactly "clearly different," but the actual meaning may be lost in translation.

Brain chips by IBM

IBM has developed a microprocessor which it claims comes closer than ever to replicating the human brain.
The system is capable of "rewiring" its connections as it encounters new information, similar to the way biological synapses work.
Researchers believe that by replicating that feature, the technology could start to learn.
Cognitive computers may eventually be used for understanding human behaviour as well as environmental monitoring.
Dharmendra Modha, IBM's project leader, explained that they were trying to recreate aspects of the mind such as emotion, perception, sensation and cognition by "reverse engineering the brain."
The SyNAPSE system uses two prototype "neurosynaptic computing chips". Both have 256 computational cores, which the scientists described as the electronic equivalent of neurons.

Google's new Nexus will fight with iPhone 5

Google is said to be preparing the latest of its flagship Nexus range of smartphones, to take on the new iPhone expected this autumn.

The Nexus Prime will reportedly be the first Android smarphone to run “Ice Cream Sandwich”, the next iteration of the operating system.

It is reportedly being built by Samsung, with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor at its heart when it launches in October. The current model, the Nexus S, features a single core, 1GHz processor.

The display will also be upgraded to a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD screen, according to reports from South Korea. The Nexus S display is 4-inch and lower resoluton.

Ice Cream Sandwich will merge the main version of Android with Honeycomb, the version adapted for tablets, so some analysts have speculated that the Nexus Prime may do away with hardware buttons such as “home” and “back” found on smartphones.

Will it rain today??? Google maps will tell....

Whether you’re organizing a trip overseas or a picnic at a local park, knowing the weather forecast is a crucial part of the planning process. Google has added a weather layer on Google Maps that displays current temps and conditions around the globe, and will hopefully make travel and activity planning easier.

To add the weather layer, hover over the widget in the upper right corner of Google Maps and select the weather layer from the list of options. When zoomed out, you’ll see a map with current weather conditions from weather.com for various locations, with icons to denote sun, clouds, rain and so on. You can also see cloud coverage, thanks to our partners at the U.S. Naval Research Lab. And, if you look closely, you can also tell if it’s day or night around the world by sun and moon icons.

Enabling the weather layer also gives you an instant weather report for friends and family living around the world. For example, it looks like my family in London isn’t experiencing the best summer weather right now:

Weather near London, UK

Clicking on the weather icon for a particular city will open an info window with detailed data like current humidity and wind conditions, as well as a forecast for the next four days. Below is the upcoming forecast for my location in wintertime Sydney, which seems to have the similar weather as London!
